What's the deal with Gensokyo? Wouldn't the humans live in an existential nightmare knowing that it's a 'Land of Illusion' (or 'Land of Fantasy')? It'd be worse than the Matrix, considering that the people living in there thought that the world was real and not a mere illusion. Wouldn't such a situation, such as the Gensokyoans are in, affect their religion and their political regime? The utter indifference that the people must show would probably necessitate some kind of autocratic, repressive government since there's no reason to be good in a dream-world where anything goes. They're living a lie.
