It's just a difference between animeonly and VN reader opinions. The movies paints Sakura in a much more favorable light than the VN where it's constantly bashed into your head that Sakura is clearly an evil person who will never be able to atone for all of the atrocities she's caused in Fuyuki. I don't think it's even overtly mentioned in the movies that she kills off a huge chunk of Fuyuki's residents in her sleep.

That doesn't mean that there aren't things to like about Sakura. And Sakura is clearly a victim of her circumstances. But obviously when there's such a divisive character in fiction, you'll have people who hate them vehemently.

On the flip side, people who constantly hate on Sakura and say that Shirou saving her is an "asspull" and a "corruption" of Shirou's character just didn't understand the point of Heaven's Feel. Heaven's Feel has plenty of shit to hate, like the length of the route compared to other routes and the character bloat, but hating on HF because of Shirou then directing the blame at Sakura is stupid.
