That said, he probably has the most impressive Meta special.

I've actually considered this, but it would fit better as a play instead of a musical, using the VN music (possibly orchestrated or played live) as a setting thing as opposed to...well, actual singing and dancing. If that were the case, then the first two musical numbers would have to be the original theme to the Mystery arcs, followed by a solo for "summoning the Golden Witch." The scene where Kinzo tosses out his ring is preceded by la divina tragedia.

There are several things to remember about Umineko. It took us 7 episodes, roughly 6 hours of reading apiece, to get a culprit. To shorten the thing into 3 hours (this is more reasonable than 2), you need to keep one thing in mind: the mystery must be resolved by the end. A mystery play is meant to keep people guessing well into the second act with the resolution towards the end. Having only the mystery covered in one play could be done, but it might be a shot in the foot if a second play needs to be made just for a resolution...but here's how I envision it. The first act would be nothing but the mystery, with the scene before intermission being...well, Bern and Lambda saying how wrong Battler is and revealing their trolltastic nature. Then the second act would have to be nothing but uncovering the truth.

For that to be possible you'd have to cut out Erika (who?), Dlanor, and possibly any character of some significance introduced in the Core arcs. Several from the Mystery arcs, such as EVAtrice and the rabbits, may also have to be cut. You could probably keep the Stakes. Ange could not be in there under any circumstances except as a small role...so no angstfest. The only people who it might be possible to keep in would be the Love Demons, and even then they could simply introduce the second act as a bit part.

Ushiromiya Rosa: Beats her child in front of a child service worker, then beats up the child service worker.

Ushiromiya Leon/Yasu/Shannon/Kanon/Beatrice: Fell in love with three of his cousins, ended up causing the death of at least two of them.

The whole reason he started the war was because he wanted to establish an Asian empire to protect the whole of Asia from Western influence when really it was just a war of expansion. They joined the Axis for...god knows whatever reasons, since they didn't actually do anything in Europe. The Pacific war was just mostly between US and Japan, and that started because the US didn't like what Japan was doing and cut them off from their supplies. Then we were bombed for being what would be considered whiny little bitches to them, and that was the Pacific war. By the end the whole thing was pretty much hopeless and even if the Emperor was on board with it from the beginning he might have just said "Well, shit" by the end of it and wanted it over. Grave of the Fireflies treats the US as almost a force of nature and addresses the issue that most of the civilian population really didn't want the war to drag on for any longer since it was hopeless.

It was a miracle that Japan really wouldn't give up even after one nuke was dropped.

It will probably be everyone getting trolled by Bern but towards the end of the game AuAu will do something to troll Bern probably.
