>What do you guys do with your dolls?
I change them once a month to match whatever theme/season is going on. Christmas in Dec, rainy for April etc. I still buy 99% of my clothes, so far, I'm looking to change that. But I decided to build all of my own props and furniture. It was a learning curve, but I've learned a lot of useful skills that I use in other parts of my life as well. Working with wood, wiring LEDs, clay sculpting and painting and simple jewelry making (I still buy complicated pieces) are all skills I've learned and have used to make non-doll things for others. Plus they're super cute and fun to have around.
Pic related, everything that the doll isn't wearing I made. The sidewalk is a raised platform made from MDF board covered in spackle that I carved the lines into and painted. Heck, if you zoom in on the lamp post, you can see what size PVC pipe I used since I missed sanding it off. lol
