I disagree. I'm old enough to have seen how much and how quickly societal norms ave changed over the past couple of decades, and I know enough history to understand just how much people's notions of right and wrong have changed throughout its course - and I'm not being a braggart here; if you're old enough to post here you probably know this too. Why should I ascribe value any value to societal standards when they change so often and so radically? The way I see it society's sense of propriety - at least when it comes to trivial stuff like lewd monster girls - is a fad and its only worth knowing for practical reasons. That's why I said that self-awareness is important. You don't want to show up to a job interview wearing a cum-stained anime-themed T-Shirt, but that's not because you're doing something "wrong" but because the recruiter needs to see you have enough common sense not to show up like that.
