Okay, when you say "damn near admitted," do you have anything like a source for that? Because my general opinion of Hisoutensoku and SWR was that Zun designed Iku and Tenshi, then let Tasofro and his guys handle how they were interpreted ingame. In other words, it was Tasofro's take on Zun's characters that were made into the character portraits, and they aren't necessarily Zun's own interpretation

I mean, the alternative is to accept that Zun fucked up and changed Aya's design even though he approved Tasofro's interpretation, which means Tasofro's is as close to canon as possible. There's no way a drunken Japanese guy could make such a crazy screw up, right? Right?
