And onward to the magican role. As stated earlier, lots of Cirno's abilities would involve setting up obstacles and traps in the dungeon as opposed to directly trying to face stronger monsters. Stuff such as making the floor slippery in order to reduce the movement speed of non-flying creatures, ice mines that explode under the user's feet, blocking off walls with ice (important to note that said ice walls would be temporary unless under special circumstances, and would eventually melt into a puddle of water), or any of the myriad of traits that the frost mage of Slash Em' uses, for instance.

Even her offensive spells like Perfect Freeze would be more about debilitating targets so she can chip away at them and bolt off to end her AP cycle before they have a chance to annihilate her then pure damage, and generally compared to A-Cirno, she'd more be about either engaging battles against weaker foes, or using her abilities to avoid confrontation by opponents that you know are too strong for her at the point of the game and hopefully let themselves get slowly whittled down by the traps you've set up across the floor, as opposed to most other characters that would simply be overpowered at that stage of the game and beaten to death. Basically, while a bit lacking in the raw damage department, her survivability would be relatively high in sticky situations, a blessing in a roguelike.
