I quite like the premise of Umineko so it's a shame that it's restricted into a VN. If I can't voice my answers in the mid game then what's the point?

Beatrice for all intents and purposes could just be narrated by an AI and I have no doubt that a game like it would appear. Closed room murders, setting might be restrictive but the reader would have freedom to apply his own logic. Multiple choices are no good since that allows you to get lucky or resort to a process of elimination. Single culprit is no good since you can get spoiled by others instead of figuring your own game out.
