The place where trolls are king. /jp/ is a poorly moderated board where one can find helpless weeb people who spew rants about their pathetic lives and roleplay with Touhous, and eagerly await others to troll or laugh at them.

On /jp/, trolling is a popular sport, of which some members have a high amount of fame. Many other members will attempt to fight trolls, but ultimately fail, as their general intelligence greatly falls below normal.

Being banned from /jp/ is no problem, as it is easy to create another account. IP bans are unheard of.

Artwork and artist's interpretation of "Meido", the personification of the janitor (someone who deletes rule-breaking and off-topic posts) on the /jp/ (Otaku Culture) board of 4chan.

The janitor is a true hero.

The shitposters used to laugh. They thought that the janitor was a joke. They are not laughing anymore.

From the very start, it was a struggle against the people who seemed to have omnipotent power on /jp/, the struggle against the shitposters. He who posts on /jp/ today knows what that meant, and that it will not remain so in the future.

When the janitor came to power, he took over a board which was lawless. Indeed, as long as /jp/ remained unmoderated then shitposters from around the world would come to this board. The otaku used to live in a board that had been plundered and destroyed by the shitposters. The shitposters are only interested in one thing: Is anyone willing to let their board be covered in shit, yes or no? Is anyone stupid enough to keep quiet in the process, yes or no? And when a board is stupid enough to keep quiet then the shitposters say that this is good, but when a janitor rises up and declares: "You do not plunder our board any longer!" then they say that this is bad. If /jp/, as an authoritarian board, differs from other boards than we differ from them in how we are not filled with shitposters.

One of the goals that remains in the janitor's heart was to convince the shitposters of /jp/ to change their ways. He only fought when the shitposters went into action against him with a clenched fist from the very start, but then he said; "Shitposters, I will not take a single step back! Either you take the fist away or I will break it! I'm willing to discuss this with you, but if you come at me with violence then remember that I am not afraid of violence! We will fight each other and you will see that I can be even more violent than you are!"

And thus the janitor has won over thousands of compatriots. The board has come together, he has rid our board of the shitposters, and /jp/ has grown into a beautiful community.

When the war began, we turned our eyes to /jp/ alone. That which serves /jp/'s struggle for life is good and must be encouraged. What harms /jp/'s struggle for life is bad and must be eliminated and cut out. With burning hearts and cool heads we will overcome the shitposters in this war. We are on the way to final victory. That victory rests on our faith in the janitor.

This evening I once again remind all of /jp/ of its duty. The janitor expects us to do that which will throw all we have done in the past into the shadows. We do not want to fail him. As we are proud of him, he should be proud of us.

The great crises and upsets of /jp/ show who the true otaku are. We have no right any longer to speak of the weaker secondaries, for all ranks of otaku are displaying the same determination and spiritual strength in this struggle against the shitposters. This board is ready for anything. The janitor has commanded, and we will follow him. In this hour of reflection and contemplation, we believe firmly and unshakably in victory. We see it before us, we need only reach for it. We must resolve to subordinate everything to it. That is the duty of the hour. Let the slogan be:

NOW, OTAKU RISE UP AND LET THE STORM BREAK LOOSE!
