It's definitely more callous than she was before, but it's not far off from how she was in Minagoroshi either, where she was already willing to kill herself so she could get happy Satoko back, and only barely held herself back.
It seems a little weird to me that Rika, after her relationship with Satoko becomes so much more negative, would just go right back to her best friendship they supposedly had in '83, without missing a beat.
Or maybe that's the point, and Rika is already more of a witch than we realize, but they probably should've put in some actually effort to show that.
