You get good by doing a lot of drawing. Like, thousands and thousands of drawing while doing studies and working to hone your skills rather than just absent-minded doodles. Though just doodling is good too.

I tried learning to draw but was frustrated badly. It just wasn't fun to make bad art. I never drew as a kid so I was really starting from the most basic of basics.

That aside, fluffy is great. Squishy and warm paws to hold you close. A fluffy tail to touch and brush, and to wrap around you on cold nights. And velvety-soft ears to kiss and scratch.
