Suddenly you have it, you merely have to spray your staring intruder with that conveniently bought can of Mantis-Be-Gone, kindly provided by your local Scam-nuki store at a fair price of only 19,95$.

A conveniently bought spray-can that is currently being used by a certain Kitsune neighbour as a makeshift flamethrower against your Ryu neighbour. Perhaps you shouldn't leave objects near your backdoor and replace the locks on said backdoor, again. This only leaves the question, why is there so much alcohol in a Mantis-removal spray, and why does your Ryu neighbor suddenly seem to excuse herself, before rushing inside with her hands on her groin area? Questions you suspect will never be answered as you watch the spray-can catch on fire.

As the scene outside keeps your mind occupied, your silent guest has started shuffling about, pressing her stomach against yours, causing you to hear, no feel, a rumble. It has taken many scientists to decipher the language of the Mantis, but you suspect she might just be hungry. Being the host that you are, you offer your intruder the opportunity to satisfy her needs with a home-made breakfast of eggs, toast and more eggs, because your neighbor stole all your bacon, again. To your surprise, this incites a reaction in your would-be guest, who gives what seems to be the faintest nod, before unlocking herself from her hold on you and walking into the kitchen. Unfortunately, what you hoped to be a Mantis cooking breakfast for you, turns out to be an impatient Mantis grabbing herself a plate and settling herself down on the stool in your would-be kitchen, while staring at the stove.

A short twenty minutes later, you proudly offer your guest some slightly burned toast, with some slightly burned egg, followed with some extra slightly burned egg. Admiring your cookery, or perhaps wondering how you managed to burn the egg, the Mantis decides to dig in anyway as you do the same. Some silent time passes as you put your focus back on the TV, where the weather Ryu appears to be both angry and happy at the same time, as she both hugs and angrily screams at the sweating young man in her arms. You suppose the town is going to last another day.

As you both finish your would-be breakfast, with the Mantis opening your already creaking fridge more than once, checking for bacon or any other meat, your active mind starts pondering the next steps to take in life. Now you have a probably slightly attached Mantis in your home, who just claimed a part of the contents of your fridge and does not appear to have any intention of leaving your domain. Yet you are nowhere further in figuring out what she actually wants and if you are even capable of giving it to her. However, seeing the state of your backyard, with your Kitsune neighbour preparing a makeshift barricade and suspiciously observing the fence of your Ryu neighbour, you figure that there are more things in life you know little about.

Your visitor seems to care little for the warzone in your backyard and has started exploring your home, tapping around with her antennas and poking at your old television. At least this gives you time to ponder the next move in your masterplan.
