I have no idea what the fuck these chexmix are you keep putting in the story. I'm assuming they're Japanese people I should recognize but I dunno.

Anyway, lesson learned; The Japanese are really really fucking weird with social shit. Their habits are so alien to Westerns we might as well not try because inevitably all we do is piss them off. I've had to deal with Japanese clients with my business in the past and now as a rule of thumb I won't do business with any of them and save myself the headache.

The language barrier just intensifies the miscommunication between our cultures to the point they usually end up exploding at us. The Japanese love to do subtle 'read between the lines' shit that is absolutely deaf to us English speakers and they'll be charming and act like everything is fantastic and at the last second without any warning blow up and after that you're dead to them.

Have a Miku for your troubles.

Honestly, aside from dressing like a redneck I don't see what he could've done wrong. That Jap should've never gotten him to organize an event in a foreign country in a language he doesn't even speak. The whole story just sounds like encounters I've had with Japanese in the past so it doesn't surprise me.
