you know that their narrative won't allow idols or the idol industry to be portrayed as anything other than reprehensible. even if they were to concede that there are positive elements to it, it would still be condemned as an example of "systemic misogyny", and posturing that japan has something to answer for in terms of how it treats it's female population.
