I knew it was a game (I was not sure what genre the games were back then) about hundreds of lolis in frilly dresses, then once I saw the bad apple video and noticed that I recognized several shadows from random pictures over the internet. Then I found touhou wikia and the games and got addicted while playing EoSD for the first time and dying several times to Patchouli.

So basically it's this, I play the games. I still don't give a shit about the doujins but I like the music remixes and some of the videos.

It works, conditionally. Assassinate has a miss chance, a large chance to kill and smaller chances to defeat or capture. You can't kill or capture units before their "important" scenes are seen (for instance, Ran before she gives up on using Summon Faggot). So assassinate has a chance to work still, it's just very much lower, because if it would normally kill or capture Ran, it instead misses.

New album is okay, better than their usual recent shit. Even though quite a few songs would benefit from an instrumental version.

But like all their newer stuff, it's damn near impossible to tell that it's Touhou.

They also had some nice songs on their older albums.
