So was Rika trying to kill Shion in Meakashi? I was reading the manga and after she gets injected with the syringe she ends up scratching out her throat. I always thought that the syringe contained a cure or sedative of some sort when I was reading the VN but it seems like the same thing that was used on Tomitake.

Just seems sort of out of character for Rika to kill.
