(As one of those "jack of all trades" types, I've always envied nerds. The kinds of people who can get SUPER EXCITED about one hobby again and again.)

You can get Canon or Nikon DSLR Camera for ~400$ (maybe cheaper / second hand).

But.

There's no point to buy it if you can't get even half-assed photos with some average background. If your room is all dusty and shitty, well, at least you'll need some good place to make photos of figures. Something like Lightbox.

Otherwise you'll have Sudo-like photos. What's the point of that? Attention-whoring? SUP-/JP/ look at my dolls? U-jelly-poorfags-look-at-my-e-peen? Wasting-money-like-a-nigga?
You know you can get much better photos from the internets. So at least if it's your hobby and you want us to see your figures - waste some money on decorations / lights. Your camera is good enough to make decent photos.

I guess he meant that your overall standard of living is pretty low (nothing but PC with internets) and you're wasting your money on figures instead of getting something useful.
Personally I don't give a fuck about that since it's /jp/ - full of losers. But it doesn't make any sense to live like a lowlife with kewl figs.
