DEEN anime was amazing at retaining the style of the VN, making sure to mimic the shots from the VN CGs wherever appliable, using remixed VN music in it's OST, and even using the day transition screens for its title cards

Ufotable goes overboard and makes everything as zany as possible, with completely ridiculous scenes like Lancer using Gae Bolg being turned into a horrible CGIfest and overblowing normal sequences into some big CGI battle. Medea invading the Emiya household and capturing Taiga isn't enough, she has to fuck up a bus and do a bunch of other stupid shit that looks bad while hovering with Taiga. It's not enough for Lancer to get lured in by Hassan, he has to have a big fight sequence with him throughout the entire city and blow up cars while randomly swapping to a standing reference pose. The list goes on.
