Gamma radiation, when applied in large doses, causes the complete cessation of all cellular functions, necrosis of organic matter, and failure of all biochemical processes. This is something that cannot be avoided no matter what, there is no such thing as "Gamma radiation immune cells".

Therefore, gamma radiation can be used to kill anything and anyone, whether they be "Gods", fictional characters, or otherwise.
