UBW is Nasu's favorite route. Nasu was very forceful about Shirou's characterization to the point of correcting Miura and explaining it to the staff, that we have confirmation that Nasu's involvement goes as far as directing the voice actors as they record, went and rewrote/added a bunch of UBW scenes to its adaption, for example, and has said he would do the same for Fate if it was redone nowadays.

Anyway, the new Fate timeline they're trying to make for the sake of continuity with sequels and spinoffs
