There's certainly nothing wrong with it, but the emphasis she puts on it over anyone else wanting revenge on Roa just makes him seem like an asshole who wants nothing to do with anyone other than Arcueid in actuality. He's interested in Shiki Tohno because SHIKI Tohno wants him, and in the Ciel remake route that's downplayed further with him getting killed.
I think it started with Melty Blood, with Nrvnqsr being the one to appear in that game instead of Roa. Nrvnqsr was always treated as a genuine threat and a complete monster, while Roa was quickly downgraded to comic relief who was capable of extremely evil actions but also easy to just tell him to fuck off and he'll go back to minding his own business after an emotional outburst. MBTL brought him back to a more "evil" level, but at the same time he's willing to talk to Saber randomly and even admits he isn't responsible for anything, he's just planning for Arcueid. Saber attacks him believing he plans on using the town in a ritual, and that he's obviously a black mage.
Seems like as a whole he went from "completely despicable human being" to "silly comedic relief bad guy" back to "lusting, somewhat evil but otherwise uncaring researcher." Weird, given the very personal and heinous acts he commits in the original.
