Did she even know that option existed? I don't think it even gets brought up in Tatari at all, no character knows about it other than Keiichi's parents, who tell him about it and he then proceeds to tell everyone at school. The only part she was actually reluctant about was having to convince granny after the first few visits to the child welfare center proved ineffective, but she still showed up anyway.
>The whole Teppei scenario is really odd if you start thinking about it though. If she can send a random bike gang running, Teppei entering in Hinamizawa is something that should never happen, especially since she knows he's coming.
I don't think Mion could even do that considering it'd be about convincing the villagers to protect a Houjou, but more importantly the story doesn't acknowledge this in the slightest so there's no claims against Mion's morality here even in-universe. In fact, there's a whole scene where Rena shuts Keiichi down and makes him piss himself precisely for suggesting that Mion could do anything about it. So the story absolutely makes it clear that Mion was innocent and incapable of doing anything for Satoko.

Was waiting for 2 specific scenes from Tatarigoroshi but they skipped them over. It wasn't because of the sudden shift into Minagoroshi halfway through either, since those 2 scenes originally happened before that point.

I remember watching the anime back in 2007-2008 and thinking it was one of the weaker arcs. Come the visual novel and I think it has some of the best scenes Ryukishi has ever written, the anime skipped so much it's a crime, and Gou's version ended up being Minagoroshi-hen instead halfway through.
