It depends on what you're aiming for. If you want all resources to increase gradually, short runs are the way to go. If you want to maximize fuel and ammo, sparkled long runs are 4x better. Even unsparkled long runs (5, 9, 13) for fuel and ammo are still better than unsparkled short runs.
