At one point the population of Rome declined to ~10,000 and the remaining residents were fully self-aware that they were living in ruins.

At least you IA fans have CeVIO content. Because as a Gumi fan, I kind of feel like I'm living in Rome's ruins. At one point in time Gumi's popularity went toe-to-toe with the Cryptonloids, but Internet Co. decided to piss it all away by doing nothing when the writing was on the wall that everyone is abandoning Vocaloid for places like Neutrino, CeVIO, and the Piapro Engine. They also could have had big events for her 10th anniversary, but again decided to piss it all away (at least we got some great fan content).

>I'm starting to think the current generation is somehow even more insufferable than the uguu kawaii desu desu desu weeb of olden times.
“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”

GoT running out of source material did far more damage to the series than anything "normies" did.

>The community will never recover from how the adaption handled that siege battle at the end.
Case in point.
