Because I shat a lot on their "culture" and mostly did what I wanted, regardless of what they wanted.
Back in the days, they wanted new people to follow their examples and do as they wanted. So in short, they wanted new users, but they didn't want retarded crap. They wanted new blood, but only if the new blood was acting the same as their old blood. In short, they wanted the chicken and the egg. There's probably a better expression for that, I don't know.
When Demetrious arrived from /tg/ with a few fa/tg/uys, it was hilarious, with Anon claiming the "cancer" was killing THP, as the fa/tg/uys were having powerlevel arguments all over the place. Finally, THP has new users, ready to revitalize the place. And yet they acted like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were in town.

Most stories are based on a gimmick (like the protag being secretly a youkai, him being Mayohiga's landlord, or the story taking place in the future, or the protag being possessed by a tentacle youkai, protag being a shapeshifter named Wade...), instead of being based on a plot. It's usually easy to see if the story has a plot or not, with or without foreshadowing.
So since the writer doesn't plan ahead, he mostly makes up shit as he moves on. Sometimes, it works, and often, it fails and he runs out of steam and end up giving up (I remember a story about a guy waking up in a hostel room with Ran. Didn't went far). Do The Right Thing being an exception, I'm ready to bet the writer has no real plot, and yet last time I checked, it worked fine.
And it was fun, despite being a bit Chaotic Stupid and lolrandom (through I'm one to talk about such things).

And in some rare and sad cases, even with a plot going on, the story was dropped.
Why Myouren, WHY?

Not really about that. But still salty about the slander.
