You think that Shizu doesn't feel a slight bit of resentment that her sister comes home every night for three months talking about all the offerings she got from the villagers, meanwhile Shizu has to paint a whole mountainside by hand in order to get a pittance of faith?
And this saggy hag busts her way through the GHB, sticks her fingers in everything, nearly causes Armageddon from her poorly executed attempts to bring all the luxuries of the outside world with her, and has the audacity to tell poor shizu that it's all just down to breast envy and *nothing* else?
This being the same youkai god to build a ropeway to her shrine so she can monopolise all the faith going around, leaving just barely enough for Reimu to live on donations with, and nothing but idle appreciation for the scenery of Autumn, it's no wonder that the Moriya "gods" have garnered a reputation for underhanded and cheap tactics, like using their miko for publicity stunts that have nothing to do with good and responisble godhood.

And don't even mention the frog.
Sure, it's not quite as insulting as a fat hag coming in and flaunting her tits out for all the boys to see, but that creepy youkai likes to extort people for their faith directly instead of being good and virtuous, even as far as Kanako can be called "good".
Sometimes she goes on a walk around the base of the mountain, and Shizuha is always outside during that time to get all her work done in time.
She's not verbally threatening, or even rude, but the way she looks at Shizu and asks about how her faith gathering is going makes her want to make an excuse and leave as fast as her divinity will take her.
