It seems that what you're interested in isn't so much what a mine is capable of but more along the lines of something larger that it more capable of distinct physical harm, such as the outer symbiotic appendages that the battleship classed abyssals have which are more suitable for crushing and maiming shipgirls, or maybe even the "lifebuoy" creatures which specialize in attaching themselves to a shipgirls arms or legs or worse their necks and slowly constrict until a tourniquet effect is achieved or even entire removal of a limb.
