4. Kind of right, but it's completely wrong from how you put it. The gojuuon, and by extension furigana, accurately represents the phonemic transcription of Japanese words for the most part.
Phonetically speaking, they're only sort of helpful. ん is the worst culprit here, representing at least 6 different consonant sounds.

Pay attention to how native speakers pronounce words like ほん、まんこ、はんぱ、めんどう、めんひょう, and you will see ん rear its ugly head. In any case, stuff like this is useful to pay attention to as a language learner for any language, in order for you to sound like a native.
