unless you have an intellectual disability, when you write in english you don't write individual letters, you write weirdo custom digraphs and string shit together, sometimes even between words

this is actually one of the few legitimate reasons to learn to write kanji, i know you were joking to some extent but it's very real. one must be very careful to limit their intellectual understanding of it to reality, however, and to ascribe any benefit it gives them to the psychological effects it has on them.
