They don't play GBC games. They're basically a Game Boy Pocket with a light, which is kinda cool, but they're rare and expensive. I could actually go an buy a Game Boy Pocket, and then a backlight and mod one in myself, but that would be a lot of hassle. It would be a fun little project honestly, but no GBC compatibility kinda kills it. I was thinking of buying an SP AGS-101 model for the backlight, even though I don't really like the SP overall.
