OP here, problem solved, it just wouldn't play windowed. Weird shit.

I failed terribly in easy modo. Does that mean I'm not assburgers after all? It's fun but I don't get the huge appeal. Nor do I get the appeal of wanking to doujins of characters whose storyline I have not experienced. So I guess Touhou is not for me, however I will tone down my hate.

No I will follow the advice of the Anon who said to get the musics only because the musics are pretty damn awesome.
