There's probably something poetic to be found in the fact that the same World Tree that granted Peperomia's wish of becoming a Flower Knight also saddled her with a flower meaning that almost guarantees she'll never succeed at winning Danchou's love. But that's the World Tree for you.
Though Peperomia by far my favorite Flower Knight and my copy is very well cared-for, so perhaps a happy ending for her isn't so impossible after all.
