Yeah, I need to set up a second shop next to my ranches to sell food. Too bad I'm too low level to get a decent shopkeeper. I think the best I can manage is a Juere swordman unless I get a rod and try breaking into the Thieve's Guild.

Would have said no, all animals are equal, but I just found pic related as I was reading the thread. So far this is the first time I've seen a price difference from monster type, but outside of the occasionally hunting quest I'm pretty much only fighting (and thus cooking) pretty low level monsters.

Obviously you won't be making fuck you money like Kai, but speaking as a fairly low level with a pretty shitty shop I'm pretty content with what my Rogue warrior pulls in when he makes sales, I just wish he could move more volume.

I think a shop is pretty much always worth buying as soon as possible, and even with low cooking you can make a nice amount selling meat. Get a BBQ set and a few pieces of gear with a cooking bonus on them and you can make decent rank meals right from level 1 cooking, and hell, even a skewer-grilled corpse with no bonus probably sells for more than most of the crap a new player will be dumping in their shop.
