Farming 50 transports is kind of a nightmare. 4-2 does give you 5 per run, but only if you're not sent to B straight away, then you get 0. And then if you're not sent from C straight to boss, then you get only 2. It's a noticeable resource loss too, and a consistent chuuha of at least 1 ship per sortie.
I need 5 transports per sortie and I need consistent routing, that's it. I'm not asking too much, am I?
