I honestly don't care, Satoshi is such a non-character macguffin that I can't feel anything for him at all. There's a reason the VN just ended with a "ehhh maybe he'll get better in the future" and everyone else lived happily ever after (until they didn't because ryukishi loves money) and that was still good enough.
