Y'know, around this time of the year in general, a lot of cultures celebrate the dead.
Halloween, Dia De Los Muertos, Obon, All Souls' Day, you name it.
It goes without saying, but a monstergirl death celebration would be pretty interesting. Just imagine parade floats with zombies and jiang shi riding atop them, dressed in the sort of things you'd expect in a Mardi Gras celebration.
Then you'd have all the ghosts and will-o-the-wisp amassing in droves, so many you'd barely be able to see the sky. There'd be crowds of transparent people on the streets you could walk right through, probably.

I'd like to see the desert monstergirls' variation on it. Pharoahs, apophi, anubi and mummies are all pretty core monstergirls in those regions, so I imagine a festival of the dead there would be a pretty huge affair.
