When it comes to Vocaloid music lyrics lyrics are extremely important to me and no matter how good or bad rest of music is, lyrics can make or break a song for me. For many of my favorite songs I pretty much memorized them because I used to watch translated videos all the time.
I fell in love with Miku because of how she was portraited in these songs, so the closer lyrics relate to how I imagine her, or sometimes how well I personally can relate to these lyrics, the more I enjoy them I guess. It doesn't matter that much in non-Miku songs, but still lyrics can be fun or interesting.
