I haven't even got the cabinet - Iliterally just have the pads. The idea is to get them working for BPC games and run a more minimal bootleggy setup. Thankfully the guy had already trashed / sold most of the other parts so I didn't destroy a cabinet to get these.

It's been around 2 days of work so far, and I'm between 1/4 and 1/3 done. I've had to resort to powerdrilling the heads off the screws just to take things apart as they're so rusty, as soon as I turn the screwdriver, they fall to bits. Had to bend a lot of metal to get the bars off too, as ther was no way to get these into the house otherwise.

I'm working towards replacing most of the parts that can't be salvaged (brackets, screws, acryllic arrows) and repairing the rest (stripping and repainting the base and the bars, removing rust and buffing the new metal, etc.) - I have a budget, but I'm gonna do whatever I can to make these look and feel brand new.

There's basically no machines near me, and there's definitely no machines running a recent version of the game. I always wanted to "do it right" with DDR, as it was my first bemani title, so now I'm finally making it happen!
