When subjected to certain situations humans will react in numerous ways. I would not label those in the community as immature but merely unable to handle situations presented to them. Where some may have world experience in certain aspects of their life other may lack experience. Humans are complicated and we could discuss multiple possibilities as to why the community is how it is. I suggest living your life and ignoring those you feel are immature even when confronted by said person. Ignoring someone is often the best route when dealing with idiocy.
