It wouldn't be hard for a crafty (half) elf to get into your hose anon. Most standard locks that you see on doors are incredibly easy to pick with just some basic tools and a bit of know-how and practice. Hell some locks don't even require that like locks that are susceptible to raking or jigglers which is a surprising amount of them. All in all most house locks are really easy to get through and are more of a psychological deterrent. They don't say "A lock only keeps honest people out" for nothing anon. This is also why in bad neighbourhoods more "physical" methods are used for securing your property.
