sortof, i use that sort of position fairly often, but not full ham slamming.

Problem with that position is you have to bend the back a bit to get it, which then means all the pressure is going to a joint in the middle of the back, with no other real support. Big risk of damage from it poking through depending on the build.

I think on my sanhui the padding around the spine is decent enough i could go pretty hard if i wanted.
