Carl, however, told her they couldn't leave her to reanimate and went back. Saying a final goodbye to his mother, Carl tearfully shot his mother in the head, preventing her from coming back.

Some SSRIs are absorbed differently by different people. Prozac in particular either wont get absorbed in the gut or pass the blood-brain barrier, except in small amounts, in like 1/4 of people. Lexapro which is almost identical to prozac much more readily gets absorbed by people who don't absorb prozac.

Also some SSRIs are short acting, others long acting etc. I agree though I had the same problem with a psych like 2 years ago. Tried at least 4 or 5 different SSRIs. The only thing that ever helped was beta blockers which I had to practically beg to get. But god damn it do beta blockers work, especially long term. They re-wire your mental circuitry after a while and you just stop being anxious. There are studies which show this effect (in some people anyway, something about an overactive sympathetic nervous system) and it continues even after you stop taking the drug.
