I've always seen that as part of the series charm. People like to make out there is ONLY ONE WAY TO INTERPRET A CHARACTER but really, the setting is pretty loose and ZUN sometimes contradicts himself because he clearly isn't taking it as seriously as everyone else. Sure, he can write some stuff fairly seriously, but most of it is like Inaba and Inaba with a nice little sarcastic bit of humour on it.

I imagine this out of character Yuka would be fun for some friendly games.

Touhous wouldnt play FPS,RTS,RPGs maybe they'd play MMOs and maybe JRPGs...

They're females and I expect them not to be fascinated by games. Except Singstar, Guitar Hero or Little Big Planet and similar stuff.

I'm guessing they'd like artistic games like Valkyrie Chronicles or Eternal Sonata.

That seems like a rare preference to have. Most seem to go with the classy villain approach, refined as a lady and polite when treated with respect, but brutal the moment she's annoyed.

Well, that or just completely sadist. Usually you see a mix of both, but people love to go to extremes.

Not really Yuka, you've settled down into the habits of a old youkai. You don't do much any more and mostly take pleasure in little things like tending to your sunflowers and occasionally talking with fellow enthusiasts down at the human villages flower shop. Villagers even wonder if you are a strong youkai at all, but don't try anything because you emit that traditional creepy old youkai grin.

But don't worry about it Yuka, we still love you and the fact you've settled down, cooled off a bit and laugh at the heroes assumptions of your villainy... you've some how grown as a character.

Shame you lost your mansion though, right?

Yuka is the Touhou we all relate to the most. Misunderstood and hated by creation.

I think Yuka is one of the best touhous /jp/ can relate to. /jp/ likes children but they are scared of /jp/'s appearance.
