Once you start nearing level 30 you realize that sinking all of your skill points into science, mechanical and language traits works for a traditional /jp/ hikki build but effectively bars you from two thirds of all quests and entire dungeons. A lot of old /jp/sies realize this, start working to improve these skills (and our STR/CHA stats, which I'll explain below) and wind up losing the virgin status effect along the way when our stats are high enough.

IRL is a buggy kusoge with awful character progression and ass backwards skill trees. Many skills require minimum levels in both STR and CHA which is stupid. There's an entire sub-branch of the Speech-based skill tree ("Sex Appeal") that you can usually only unlock after you complete the "Having Sex" subquest, which is unmarked and has different requirements depending on where/when you spawn and what buffs/debuffs you have at the time. A lot of people here also suffer from the autism bug (yet to be officially patched, although I managed to get an unofficial hotfix working for my build) where you can't apply points to any Speech traits. These people can't access high-level skills in the Sex Appeal tree: 15% bonus when selling certain goods, bypassing certain Speech checks, the ability to take on followers, etc. Once you look at the big picture you realize how unimportant keeping your virgin effect really is. It's not like you get any kind of good buffs from keeping the virgin status anyway.

(It's still a bad idea to grind Having Sex with more than two or three mobs/NPCs at most given the admittedly slim chance of incurring a permanent debuff or incurable poison status effect though.)
