Welcome to the club. I dropped it for now and just use this dictionary app to highlight new words I look up and use the homepage feature to find and casually highlight the common words (that I’m not assed to normally search for) inbetween episodes/chapters of Japanese content. Once I reach about 20k highlights (currently at 3.5k but I’m not done highlighting common words obviously), I’ll try Anki again for the harder/obscure words I’ve already come across that I haven’t learned well in the meantime before then. It satisfies the vocab autism itch but doesn’t take much time.
