kek. Just recently a fireman must quit his job after getting caught doing AV in his free time. You can't treat acting in AV as side job but as main job being AV actor is terrible. Much smaller pay than the actresses and overworked as hell. They're not even credited on the video, they're just part of the props.

Adult entertainment business in natural is very lucrative field for organized crime, or any kind of crook for that matter. Naturally we can't deny their presence but how much of their influence in the industry, we may never know.
However with JAV being legal many honest (if eccentric) businessman like SOD founder here have tried their luck in the industry, so yeah, there are plenty that started and run free from the Yakuza.
