I'd wager most of us here right now are late joiners (2013 myself). While Fate itself as a franchise surged in popularity, everything else was left in the dust and forgotten. Year after year, the discussion was lesser, with non-FGO related content fading from an instantly recognizable position into obscurity.
By the time we got here, the light had already gone out. The age of heroes was over, all that was left to us was the dimnishing returns of a decaying franchise.
