If the game didn't have characters, I think none of us would have played it more than a couple of times at most. We would have moved on to something else. But the fact that we have so much fanmade works to flesh out and add to our enjoyment of the game means that we can talk about it on the internets, fap to pictures, and have more motivation to play and beat other Touhou games.

Your opener was good, even though not very believable at first, but people bit anyway. It is your followups that are where the true display of your skill has shown through, spawning a relatively long argument, debate, and original content in response. Congratulations. I haven't seen a troll of your caliber in a while.
