Not competing with anyone else is a big asset. Newhus that get introduced as the sole newhu of their game are usually decently popular. That and she's got a fun power, looks very distinct, and has ties for everyone. You can put her with her mafia crew and make them do mob boss stuff or play on their species, you can put her with Flandre, you can put her with everyone in 17.5 and Suika (nod to the manga) which encompasses practically every generation of 2hu.
It'd take some serious commitment to the new bad old good bad faith act to dismiss her. That, or you were so disappointed with 17.5 you dislike her by association or something.
