For YEARS, I've gotten off to just the mere CGs of eroges. I'd find ones that contained characters that looked relevant to my interests, and if I could just GUESSTIMATE from looking at a scene if it had kinks that were relevant to my interests, I was sold! A simple self pleasuring to mere images, and that was that.

Of course I'd wonder the context. The personalities of the characters depicted. The scenario that was unfolding in these images. But none of the visual novels I was interested ever got localized, so what was the point?

It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I discovered that "VN Reader" thing that could effectively translate just about any visual novel in almost real time from Japanese to English. It sounded too good to be true, but I figured "Why the hell not?" and downloaded it, and gave it a shot.

After QUITE SOME TIME doing research and setting up, I installed some machine translators and tested out their built-in prototype translators and holy fuck, the syntax is an absolute nightmare at times, but most of the time the results are good enough to decipher what's going on with some re-reading and context clues.

After some serious unsuccessful digging for a torrent, I managed to buy a digital copy of an eroge that had one of my favorite H-scenes directly from a Japanese website, and just gave it a go.

I went 24 hours without getting off prior. HOLY SHIT. My body wasn't prepared. Being able to experience to build-up to it... getting to know the character before the actual lewdness takes place? The dialogue that happens beforehand?! Hearing their voices and the assorted erotic sounds associated with them?! FINDING OUT THAT THE SCENE INCLUDES LIKE 50 OTHER KINKS OF YOURS THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WERE THERE?! HOLY FUCK I DON'T THINK I'VE CUM SO HARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE

I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT. MERE CGS CAN NEVER AMOUNT TO THE UNPARALLELED SPLENDOR OF EXPERIENCING EVERYTHING IN-GAME. THAT SWEET SWEET MOTHERFUCKING CONTEXT, BRO! HOLY SHIT
